I am so tired!!

At the moment I'm trying to recall why it was that I agreed to be scorebook keeper for our JV and Varsity Volleyball teams.  I really just want to go home and take a big, long nap until tomorrow.

So we learned about Personality in class today or rather my students did.  At least that was the plan.  Then we worked on our Happy Books.  (Yeah, don't ask.)  This like the fore mentioned lesson on personality went off with varying (is that a word?) degrees of success.

I had a pretty good week.  My beloved Houston Texans whipped the Indy Colts soundly on Sunday which was a wonderful start to my week.   That was actually my birthday wish and present from Jill or so she claims.

Then I turned 40 on Wednesday and ate cupcakes all day which was fabulous!!  I went home Wednesday after school and played Fable 2 all evening. (I finished the storyline in the game for like the sixth time but it was the first time on my own personal Xbox 360 which was my birthday present to myself.)

Last night we had a meeting about our Eurpean Carinval trip that is happening next summer.  It was very informative.  I am pretty excited about it.  About eight of the ladies I went with to Italy in '08 are going again on this trip.  We will have an amazing time.  I can hardly wait!!

And that bring us back to today, tonight and the volleyball games I will be watching instead of sleeping.  Also I have to create my own Happy Book this weekend to model for the students next week.  Happy Happy Joy Joy

Journey Begins or has begun...

Today I made some progress! I'll explain today's title at some point.  Day 1 of beginner baby steps from the FlyLady.  Today I begin to take back my life.

I finished reading The Neighbor by Lisa Gardner.  I'll admit she kept me guessing until right before the end.  That is rare for me.  Normally I figure out where the author is going long before the book gets there.

I got my desk cleared off and reorganized my supplies.  I like my new set up.  Tomorrow I will tackle the side table and get that clutter put away or trash it. I hung a few things on the wall.

While I was working I watched several movies tonight; Old Dogs was just ok (3.0 of 5.0), I only watched 2 minutes of Funny People -- I didn't even make it through the opening credits.  Date Night was cool!.  I really enjoyed it.  Tina Fey and Steve Carol were really fun together. (4.0 of 5.0) And someday I will share my movie rating scale but not tonight.

Countdown is on to Vegas: 28 days

Summertime!!

 So...

I'm determined to post more regularly on a wider variety of topics.  Tonight I set up a tumblr account.  I'm not sure why?  I am also not sure I will ever be able to find it again.  Stay tuned.

I had a fight with my google account earlier trying to change/figure out what my password is/was??  Not sure if I won or lost.  Guess I will find out next time I have to log in to google or one of my many (apparently) other accounts that are connected to google and have decided that I can't log into them the old way.

That's all for now.  Tune in tomorrow for life on the frontier.

FABLE 2

I just read this on IGN Q&A form: "This is my third cultist husband and I would like to refrain from killing this one, can anyone give me the names of some good properties before I get annoyed and kill this guy too?"

That is awesome! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that kills the stupid characters that annoy me.

Zach Braff: Scrubs is "No More"

I kind of enjoyed the new crew.  And I LOVED the original show.  Maybe because I can relate so well.  I have little fantasy daydreams in my head all the time just like JD.  Weird, I know.  What ya gonna do?
Read more about it HERE  Scrubs ending that is. Not the weird stuff that happens in my head.  I'll save that for another horror themed post in the future!

Today I'm working on my 2009 Photo Year Book.  It is going to be fabulous and hopefully finished very damn soon especially since its like April 2010 already.  Geez...

WE HAVE TO STOP NOW SEASON #2 PREVIEW #2!

Success Doesn't Just Happen!

CHECK ME OUT!

Random Quotes

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow: "Each morning sees some task begin, Each evening sees it close; Something attempted, something done, Has earned a night's repose."

Who: Whose life will I touch today, and who will touch mine?
What: What will my goals be today, what will engage and connect me with my life?
Where: Where will my life take me today--both literally and metaphorically?
When: When will I have the most energy today; when will I find time for peace and quiet?
Why: Why am I visualizing my day as I am--is there anything I want to re-imagine in a more positive light before I start?

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson.
